Biography
Larry Zingale, a self-taught Berkshire has had six one-man shows in New York,including exhibitions at the Fabian, America Hurrah , Jay Johnson and Frank Miele art galleries.
Paintings by Zingale are in many private collections and museums, including the Museum of International Folk Art, Sante Fe, The Nelson Rockefeller collection, the Fenimore House museum in Cooperstown N.Y., and the collections of Joan Baez, Peggy Noonan and Joek and Kate Kopp. He has exhibited at the Museum of American Folk Art in New York, The Nassau County Museum of Fine Art, The Wilson Art Center in Rochester N.Y., The Silvermine Guild At the Stamford Museum in Connecticut. His work has appeared in various books and magazine articles, including New York Magazine and Architectural Digest. Zingale has been recognized as “one of the outstanding self-taught artists of the twentieth century” in American Folk Art in the Twentieth Century (Rizzoli, New York). His painting have sold through Southeby’s Auction, New York, and he is listed in Who’s Who in American Art.
